The Lion King Musical.

Umm... H-h-hi. Well this has been a while hasn't it! I'm sorrryyyy. But, today I've decided to write a review on The Lion King Musical which I saw at the Mayflower last night, here we go! Okay, so this film is my favourite Disney film of all time. I love the story line, characters and everything. And when I saw this in theatre, I fell in love with it even more. The beginning song was obviously Circle of Life and they performed it in a magical, very very very good way. I loved how they brought in the African culture into it aswell. The singing was phenomenal, so was the acting. It was just indescribable. My favourite characters were Pumba, Timone and Mufasa, Scar, Nala, Zazu and pretty much EVERYONE. I loved every single minute of it. Plus, at the end I got myself a plush Pumba (yayyyy). The song sung by Mufasa 'They live in you' some what moved me. I found it just so.. Nice. I loved it. I can't describe how amazing it was. You HAVE to go see it. I strongly recommend it. Anywayyyy, hope you liked my little review there.. Byeeeeeeee! ~Rhonwen

How to make a Kit Kat and M&Ms cake!

Hiiiiii! So, today I'm going to share a recipe which I made today!

Ingredients:
  • 275g (1.2 cups) Plain Flour
  • 3 level tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 215g (0.9 cups) Caster Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of Golden Syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 225ml Sunflower Oil
  • 225ml Whole Milk
Filling/Frosting:

  • 200g (0.8 cups) Dark Chocolate
  • 100g (0.4 cups) Milk Chocolate
  • 300ml Double Cream
Decoration:

  • A bag of chocolate M&Ms, or any other sweets or fruit you prefer
  • Two 8x2 Kit Kat packets

Equipment:

  • Scales
  • Spoon
  • Two 7 or 8 inch baking tins
  • Sieve
  • Baking Paper
  • Electric Whisk
  • Knife
  • Skewer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Cooling Rack
  • Plate
  • Jug
  • Measuring Spoons
Preheat your oven to Gas Mark 3/ 160C/320F and line the two tins with baking parchment.

Put the bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and cocoa powder in a large mixing bowl and sift in the flour.

Add the caster sugar and mix all of it together.

Make a well in the middle of your mixture, so you can add the eggs, syrup, oil and milk. Mix with the electric whisk until smooth (it will still be runny, so don't panic).

Pour into the two trays and put on the middle shelf of the oven for 35 mins, test with a knife or skewer to check on them! When you touch them, they should spring back..

When done, put on a cooling rack for them to cool down

Whilst the sponges cool, pour the double cream into a saucepan and wait for it to bubble, then take it off the heat add ALL the chocolate and stir until it's all melted leave to cool for 2 hours, I know it's long but time went flying by. I had mine sitting on the table still in the saucepan and about 15-20mins before 2 hours, I put it in the fridge to speed it up.. You just want it to thicken really, so if you know quicker ways, use them.

Spread some of the frosting on one of the sponges and place the other one on top, Use the rest to cover ALL of the cake (sides + top) so know sponge can be seen.

After this, snap the Kit Kat bars in half and place all around the cake, so they stick to the frosting.

Grab your M&Ms (or other topping filler) and just cover the top completely! I then put mine in the fridge, as it was VERY hot today and didn't want the frosting dripping or Kit Kats melting!

And there you go! You have a cake! Here's mine:

Summer!

Hiiii! So..Um.. Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while, I've just been all asdfghjkl and the heat so yeah. But, I decided to write again today and the topic is Summer! So, it's the start of the Summer holidays and people are probably like 'I'm borrrrrrrred.'. Well, I've been to a sleepover, so if you're young enough to have one, have one! And I've just been listening to this one song called Our Last Summer, but not the ABBA version, I've been listening to the Mamma Mia version. It's just so nice to listen to when you're cleaning things up, reading or maybe just dancing.. If you're still bored, why don't you travel somewhere exotic, historic or maybe fun! I'm going to visit my Nain (grandmother) and Nanny and Grampy. So you could visit family that live a bit away so you can catch up on things and enjoy the scenery and things of where they live. People who take over schools.

Hoooola! Today, the topic is about one particular lady, who I shall call Miss Fluff (not her actual name, obviously) and how she is slowly taking over our school. And how pretty much everyone hates her, including the teachers. Here's the summary of her: When she's speaking normally, she shouts, this is her normal speaking voice. When she does uniform checks, she physically grabs your hair and pushes it out of the way  to see if you have earrings, which happened to me (I don't have my ears pierced) and, she then said 'this is a hair band, right?', I mean isn't it obvious!?!? Apparently now, she's using scissors to cut off people wearing those loom band bracelets (I don't know if it's true), if she doesn't want people wearing them then she could just ask them. Simple. If they refuse then there'll be further action, but still. And, as I've said she's just slowly taking over, she's shouting at the other members of staff and is plain annoying. Stay Snazzy! Different Types of People in School Part 3.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Okay, so this is going to be part 3 of the people you can get in schools and in general! First thing's first, the really really really goody two shoes. These types of people are the ones who want to always take the register and hand it in, always wants to read out loud and get's upset when another student gets praise and they don't. This describes only one person in my year, but I'm sure there's plenty more! Oooh, I forgot to say, they also sort of guilt trip the teachers into letting them get a certificate for their 'hard work'. Anyways, let's move on! How about the 'trying to make friends with the populars, but they still don't like you' sort of people. There are plenty of them in our school, they just try to make conversation with the more popular girls and boys so they can start to get popular, but it doesn't work, so it fails. That's it basically. Okay who's next? What about the 'pop music fan girls who are just asdfghjkl', these are girls (and the occasional boy) who are just OBSESSED with boybands, and some girl singers and they just go on about them and make posts about them that makes you want to physically pull your eyes out and throw them out the window.
